Syriac-Aramean Village of Arbo During Sayfo

Arbo, also known as Taşköy, is situated 15 kilometers southeast of Midyat within the wooded Raite area of Tur Abdin. Approximately 70 Syriac-Aramean families resided in the village at the onset of the violence. As the massacres began, these inhabitants fled their homes to find sanctuary at the nearby Mor Malke and Mor Eliyo monasteries.
