The Society of St Jacob of Edessa (Urhoy) faithfully and sincerely fulfilled its duties and activities, providing essential services to advance its educational mission despite harsh circumstances and material deprivation to the Syriac Arameans in the city of Aleppo. This steadfast commitment continued until 1936, when the Society merged with its sister organization, the Mother Tongue Society. From this meaningful union emerged the Youth Society, a new and vibrant entity born from the harmonious merger of both associations. The pictures are presumably from the 1930s.
